Use cases

What brings you to orbit?
Our interface welcomes nearly any payload.
These are the six areas of space where we help you fly.

Earth Observation

Operate your own Earth observation instrument without building a satellite.

Fly your camera or sensor to collect images and measurements for your own applications. We find a host suited to your observation requirements and handle integration and payload operations. You plan what to observe and access your data through our software interface. Additional instruments can be deployed on other hosts as your coverage needs grow.

Typical payloads Optical cameras, infrared imagers, multispectral instruments, radar payloads.

Telecoms & PNT

Connect remote regions, track assets worldwide, or deliver navigation services from orbit.

Extend connectivity beyond terrestrial networks, relay data from sensors and moving assets, or provide positioning and timing signals. Whether you need a single payload to serve a specific application or a constellation to deliver wider, more frequent coverage, we find suitable hosts and handle integration and payload operations. Expand your service as your coverage and capacity needs grow.

Typical payloads Radio transceivers, antennas, IoT receivers, data relay units, navigation signal generators.

Science & Exploration

Explore the universe and seek answers to fundamental questions.

Space offers a unique vantage point to observe the cosmos and a unique environment to investigate how nature behaves. Study celestial objects and phenomena, measure radiation, or explore how microgravity affects materials and living systems. We work with you to define your scientific objectives, select a mission suited to your instrument or experiment, and manage integration and payload operations so you can focus on discovery.

Typical payloads Space telescopes, astrophysics detectors, radiation monitors, biological experiments, material science instruments, environmental sensors.

Space Compute

Run your software on an onboard computer, or fly your own computing hardware.

Use a compute module to run your code in orbit, or bring your own processor to test its performance in space. Applications include onboard image processing, AI inference and data compression before transmission to Earth. We provide the hosting service and access to your module so you can upload software, run workloads and retrieve results.

Typical payloads Onboard computers, AI accelerators, data-processing units, software running on compute modules.

In-Space Manufacturing

Develop and manufacture materials and products in microgravity.

Use the space environment for processes such as crystal growth, material processing or additive manufacturing, whether you are developing a new product or preparing for repeat production. We work with you to accommodate and operate your equipment onboard suitable missions, managing integration, power, thermal and data requirements. If your materials or products need to be brought back to Earth, we can explore return opportunities on selected ISS missions today, and on future capsule-based missions as those options become available.

Typical payloads Material-processing units, crystal-growth equipment, additive manufacturing systems.

Servicing & Maintenance

Develop modular equipment designed to be replaced and upgraded in orbit.

Replacing a failed or outdated unit could allow a spacecraft to keep operating without replacing the whole satellite. We are developing our containers as Orbital Replacement Units (ORUs), with standardised mechanical, power and data interfaces. The aim is to let operators exchange individual units in orbit, whether to repair equipment or change what a spacecraft can do.

Typical units Compute modules, communication units, sensors, payload containers.

Ready-to-fly modules

Prefer to fly something ready-made?

Choose an off-the-shelf container for your application, book it, and your mission is on its way: a good fit when you prefer a packaged sensor to your own payload, as many defense missions do.
